The 10th United Nations Forum on Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific (APFSD) was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and was recently held in Bangkok and online.

More than 3000 participants, including representatives from relevant governments, intergovernmental organizations, United Nations agencies, international organizations, major groups, and other stakeholders, attended the forum. Dr. You Jie, as a representative of Mingshang Technology, was invited by the Asia Pacific Economic and Design Association (ESCAP) to participate in roundtable forums on “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure” (Sustainable Development Goal SDG-9) and “Sustainable Cities and Communities” (SDG-11).
Mingshang Technology is the first domestic enterprise in the field of intelligent driving technology for commercial vehicles to attend this forum.
Mingshang Technology actively participates in and implements corporate social responsibility initiatives related to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, making efforts from two dimensions: sustainable cities and communities, industry, innovation, and infrastructure. Starting from these two dimensions, we have always focused on technological advantages, professional operations, and humanized services to cope with the rapid global development pattern and challenges.
The roundtable on Sustainable Development Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) highlighted some priority areas for action, including strengthening strategic and circular resource mobilization to drive systemic change and innovation, making productivity a key driving force for economic growth, strengthening research and development of industrial technology to support small and medium-sized enterprises. Another priority area of action is to strengthen access to infrastructure, innovation, and technology by supporting marginalized groups and corporate partnerships.
Dr. You Jie, based on the research and development capabilities and product advantages of Mingshang Technology, proposed that while promoting industrial upgrading, enterprises should act as an important force, actively cooperate with the sustainable direction guidance of the public sector, increase research and development investment, and promote industrial innovation.
Dr. Youjie’s roundtable meeting on Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) also proposed that in the face of cross regional urban linkage development like ASEAN, in addition to building modern hardware infrastructure such as road transportation, it is also necessary to fully utilize digital means, build IoT platforms and big data platforms that correspond to physical connections, and form soft channels connecting regions and cities, And on this basis, utilizing big data and artificial intelligence technology to optimize traffic scheduling, business management, safety assurance, etc., and reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Representatives of 48 members and associate members of the Asia Pacific Economic and Social Commission attended the 10th Forum: China, Russia, Australia, North Korea, India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, etc. Representatives from Belarus, Germany, Mexico, Sweden, Switzerland, and the European Union attended the meeting as observers.
